On Wednesday 24th June, Vikki Jolley was on the local radio competing in the Battle of the Workplace, a minute long quiz, and with the help of the rest of the office, managed to score 10 correct answers. This turned out to be the highest of the week – and so the team are off “Go-Karting” at Rochdale soon. We got some good publicity out of it – regular name mentions throughout the day
6/1/15 – We were given superb hospitality at Moorhouses Brewery today, where a fact finding visit was attended by our Account Managers and some of the office based sales staff. We were shown round their superb, modern brewery by Dan Casaru, the Head Brewer (in fact a Master Brewer), who explained their brewing process in a clear and understandable manner. After a bit of lunch, we then went into their working cellar to go through everything that our customers need to do in the handling of cask ale – a valuable process as they now understand “tapping and venting” and are able to offer help to customers with problems.
Our thanks go to David Grant (MD), Mark Boardman (Nat Acc Controller), Stuart Thompson (Commercial Mg), Dan Casaru (Head Brewer) and Stacie Kerrison (Hospitality) for an excellent day – “the perfect spell”!!
Anyone interested in stocking Moorhouses superb range of beers – please get in touch.
A fantastic turnout of staff went to the P4U Arena to watch John Bishop – tickets were a reward from Heineken for some great work during the year. The day started well – in the Printworks for a few “looseners”, watching England win the football. Over to the Arena for the opening night of the “Plus 1” facility. The food was superb, and the beer continued to flow. JB was in top form and everyone left having had a great night out. For some it continued in Manchester until the early hours. Everyone was in work on time the day after – some a little groggy, but a company sponsored McD’s breakfast soon lifted even the worst hangovers. Thanks to Heineken again, and the team at the Plus 1 facility in the Arena – brilliant.
